Yes, we’ve established that.

My ideal job is in the video game industry as well. Looks at Kaination o/

GG Amnestometh.

I know a lot of people who want to go into the game industry but they’re doing it for stupid reasons. Everyone thinks its going to be fun and games but they don’t realize they’re going to work like dogs.

My last job was at EB and I hated the people there. I was also a stockboy and that isn’t the most exciting job in the world, so I quit.

I’m going to college to be a pilot.

People in the games industry get paid nothing and work ridiculous hours, in some cases with no overtime (look up the EA Spouse lawsuit). It’s pretty pathetic, not nearly as glamerous as everyone is led to believe.

Best type of job is being your own boss.

I probably want to be a freelance modeller with a normal part-time job on the side.

I have an interview at Golf Town tomorrow. Woot! xD

…sarcasm i’m well aware where he’s from anyway keep on topic this thread is not about where he’s from.

I’m thinking about applying to a telemarketing job lets see how that goes?

Oh fun. You want to become part of the most despised profession in the universe. I was a telemarketer for about 30 minutes last year. I was pretty much called a scumbag as well as a plethora of other colorful words for bothering people, and I completely agreed with them. I obviously quit.

During a hurricane, the people all paniced when their power went out, there were only 5 of us working that day, everyone else was to scared to work, it was during my summer fast food job as a burger flipper, nothing better do.

However it payed off, my job was done so well, they are paying me $2000 to help them for 3 days for memorial weekend =P, it pays to exceed at your job, even if it is minimum wage lol.

Yeah, everyone wants to work at EBgames, good luck getting a job there.

I applied for every ebgames in the aurora and englewood/centennial district and no one needs people D:

My ideal job is Best Buy. (Circuit City sucks)

I went for a job interview at a coffee shop on Monday, but never got the job, lol, I’m still job-hunting atm, I need money for PC parts, I have geforce mx 440 for pete’s sake!

I work for the dixons group, have risen to the top of my store, and the top ten in the company’s salespeople, am doing management training, my basic salery is ?12,000 per annum. my pay after commission is added (and dont *****, i work hard for this, VERY hard), goes up to ?20,000 per annum.

in august im looking forward to another pay rise, however i wont be keeping the job long, im saving my earth monies, and moving to malta with my best friend.

i rawk.

in fairness though, ive been through 4 other jobs, and failed at joining the marines cos of a dodgy knee. so its not as if im the best worker ever, i just apply myself to whatever im doing.

ps. dust, whenever you wanna move, your hired. or if you like i can see if theres any vacancies in kingston =]

I’m really enjoying my job. One of the advantages of having a father that works in the brewery is that I got placed in a good department. While the other temps that were sent to work in the bottleshop, can line and warehouse are doing monotonous, mindless tasks for their 8 hour shifts, I was sent to fermentation (along with another son of an employee, go figure) where I get to do all kinds of stuff. Seventy percent of what we make in Edmonton is Budweiser, so lots of my work involves dealing with the wood chips used in it’s aging, and if it weren’t for those chips, the entire process would be nearly automated. The tanks we brew the beer in hold around 1400 hL, or about 530 000 gallons, and each can hold about $1 million worth of Budweiser. That entire tank only costs about $30 000 to produce though, so it’s safe to assume that the beer industry isn’t going away any time soon.

Golf Town interview went great, pending a reference check I think I have the job.

Right now I do construction for my Uncle all around Michigan. Right now I have a house refurnishing job in Waterford and a roofing job in Lapeer (right where I live).

When I get older I plan on going to college and getting a PhD in Meteorology. Then I want to join a local tv station for about 6-8 years, then go on and be a hurricane/severe weather Specialist (including Nor’ easters) on the Weather Channel.

Yes, you guys will see me on the Weather Channel in about 20 years.

I can see it now… Dr. Brian Bouchard, hurricane specialist.

And if that dont work out, then I’ll go into the WWE. Become new World Heavyweight Champ and be loved by all.

Im still searching for a job, any suggestions on some that pays decent.

It’s a job that pays good money i could care less if it’s fun or not. It’s a job its not suppose to be fun i’ll have fun with the money i make from this job.

The telemarketing job that’s hired me is actually incoming calls so i doubt ill be getting called a “plethora of other colorful words”

Well excuse me, Mr. High-class telemarketer <_<.

Since when are jobs not supposed to be fun?

You’re excused i’m use to people trying to act smart.

Dictionary.com

Job - 1. A regular activity performed in exchange for payment

Don’t see any mention of fun here buddy do you? Having a job you have fun at is a bonus not a requirement you gotta pay the bills somehow and i don’t think fun is a substitute for cash.

If you have any further questions about my job, future jobs and/or my views on jobs you’re free to pm me Zeo im sure you know how . But for now this thread is not about me or my views on jobs so this will be my last post regarding this subject in this thread sorry for dragging it off topic.
