and btw… i once before hacked steam but the bug is that you can’t play esf

You have to be using Open GL and you have to activate it in the options menu.
Oh and you MUST be using the open beta final.
Hey IzzoHooD, before this problem with your half-life just closing started did you change the brightness and/or gamma settings?
Cos if you did, then we both have the same problem…

That’s not actually correct, with the new steam cash currencies, here in Spain and in all Europe (except for Great Britain that uses their own money) Half-Life cost 9’99€ (without the taxes of course) because Valve converted at the rate 1$=1€, that’s why buying in steam on europe is a crazy idea, seeing that retail games here are cheaper than in steam…
On-Topic: If the game just exit and you don’t know why, just try adding -insecure in the execute properties and be sure that you are creating a game in lan and not in internet… Anyway, and a logical thing that you could do to know better what is causing the error, just check the console after the server “crash”

Ok i had same problem as well, when i started the game i would get error that it couldn’t find path or something it was the beta one, so i uninstalled it completely, i downloaded and installed regular version 1.2.3 and it Work!
Steam is free. And it sucks for changing $ to in Europe (yes, I live in Europe).
