Favorite Old School Game

What's your favorite old school game? By old school, I mean pre-2000.

Hah! Pre-2000 isn't old school, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, (see also; obvious answers) all great games in their own rights imo, but I wouldn't consider any of them as particularly old school.

Golden Axe (1989) or Streets of Rage (1990) are probably my favorite 'old skoolers', 2D side-scrolling glory o/

2d oldschool is either street fighter II or streets of rage 2, never had the first =P

Snake rattle and roll for nes, one of the first games I played in my life time.

Diablo 1, Starcraft, Warcraft 2, SimCity 2000, Civilization 2, and F/A-18 Hornet.

My all time favorites are usually Japanese Dragon Ball Z games. It's too hard to say anymore, I guess I wouldn't mind seeing Legends remade for a next gen console, or whatever. I wish someone would tell me why the current DBZ game developers hate RPGs. Legends was never even translated, but UB22 was... which was what, the worst fighting game in the world?

Big fan of the old Sonic series.
Same with Rockman and other stuff.


I'm a littel scatterbrained, I should have thought this out more.
