What do you mean when you say 'buddies' (for the Androids and Ginyu Force). Are they playable like the rest, kinda only playable if there is a Ginyu/#18 playing or will they spawn as NPC when these two are playing?

There's still a third way, having the stage be segmented like a puzzle, as Spike did with the Cell Games arena in the Raging Blast series (and a bit in the Tenkaichi too). Like here...
