Well, if you are gettin a new comp with the PCIe, definitely go for the x800 That is the best card out there (Nvidia fanboys can go check benchmarks if you want :P) and since they are the same price, you'd be nuts to not go with the x800 256 :)

Ping is measured in milliseconds, and how Bihal explained it is correct, a ping of 100 is .1 seconds, not 1 full second. Computer delay adds to that, you were assuming that your computer can display that as soon as it got back to your comp... which doesn't happen. On Topic = And the 1.2...

Ummm, did you get a bootscreen that was compatible with whatever version of XP you have? (1st Release, SP1, etc....) If not, that may be the cause of your prob, and if you don't wanna be arsed with waiting 30 seconds, just hit enter on "Load Windows Normally" Hope this helps :)
