Well, the reason why they said to you "press z" is because Z is the default key to ascend. If the Z-key doesn't work for you, you might want to check you rcontrol settings to see which key you set for "ascend".

I don't know, I had the same problem with 1.1. With 1.2 I still have it, but it's a rare occasion. This is one of those crashbugs which they don't know much about.

Ok, ok. I suggest that you uninstall ESF and just reinstall it all. First the full 1.2 version, then the patch. That's the only way I can think of.

Yes, if you need namek.wad or guru.wad, you can just install 1.0 or 1.1 to a different location and get the wads + maps out of there and copy them in your ESF-folder.

That's a good idea, and I also agree with Orbit. They also might set a last updated date before the teammember's name, so we can see whether it's updated or not.

So you are saying that you double-clicked on the shortcut, the game starts up and you press the "console" option at the top of the screen. If you want to play ESF by yourself, you must go to "Multiplayer" -> "Lan Games" -> "Create Game". There, you can choose which map you would like to play...

Hmm, I've had this sometimes when I was playing a LAN game on WON. It lagged for a few seconds and when I looked in my hl folder, I got screenies of those seconds. I made a gif-file of it. ^^
