my suggestion is to make a quick radios flash/grow right before the explosion but make it really fast to make it look like a flash of light it would make it look cooler and it would show the radios

Well, a possible way to do it is choosing like gotenks for example then another menue pops up and asks if you want to be goten or truns and who ver you choose instead of SSJ you see ur counter part apear and then you do fusion dance and you see gotenks apear after a big flash
