right i know this aint a evm forum but i need so much help when i start my esf it allredy say evm menu like normal but when i create a server to practise or join some one elses it just takes me back to my desktop please help

Can some one help me i downloades esf and hl but every time i try to connect or start a lan game it says your hl or esf is not updated so. But every thing is uptaded patches the lot
