    Ultima Keyblade

Connecting/welding in max is a lot harder than in Illustrator. If you consider that this model probably wont be used for an in game purpose, you know that you can have as many polys as you want, thus removing any need to optimize by going the route of splines. Plus, using the pen tool in...

    Ultima Keyblade

For something of this nature, I probably would have done most of the work in Illustrator, then importing it in to max as splines. You get the kind of detail on your curves that is incredibly hard to obtain. From there, you already have a mesh and can pull things around as needed. Of course...

    The Grand Kai

Yeah, there's a few problems. Like I said, it was harder than hell to find reference pics. The one you just posted would have made a world of difference when working on him. I may have to go back and adjust his hair now that you've posted a decent side pic.

    The Grand Kai

Zero has been working on an Otherworld map and has all but finished. This model (once completed) will be a part of that map and animated as well. Take a looksee. He's still got some work (skinning/tweaking/rig) but I hope to have him finished within the next couple of...

    The Puppet Matrix news post

We did the entirety of the trailer with Ink n Paint to get that sorta quasi-comic/cartoon look. As we neared the finish, we came to understand that shader and the many limitations it has. Although there were tons of shader options for mixing, getting decent specularity from vinyl was one of...

    The Puppet Matrix news post

Ha! I'm guessing you've never seen the muppets before? That's ok, the jealous criticism makes me that much more happy. So far, in the past two days we've gotten 834, 835, 837, hits, 870... CRAP! And countless praise. Good to see someone that doesn't fit into the croud. :p (just joshin...

I kinda like that too. Nice balance and color, but I have to say, that font is getting way overused lately. Seems like every time I walk through the mall someone or something has that font exploited all over it. The one recomendation I would have would be to make sure that color is solid...

Coincidentally, I'm a T-Shirt designer full time right now. Since he said he was 20, I thought "go with young" right off the bat. Like I said, they were quickies that I threw together. When I get the chance to do some more Ill drop them in as well.

No worries man. I'm just trying to get a feel for what your company is about. Like I said, I've been doing this for years. The process just moves a lot easier if all the prerequisite inspiration is there. Not trying to seem condescending, but it would be quite inappropriate to create a logo...

I'm not trying to step on any toes, but it just seems that if Rayna can quote someone else about something that seems obvious, the part where I say I do this for a living could have been taken into account or quoted as well. No harm no foul though.

Correct me if I'm not pointing out the obvious. Thanks for the obvious, Mr. Oblivious. Ok, here's where I break down my mortal coil and unleash divine wisdom to the masses, thus sanctifying this most unholy thread and introducing the apple that brought nakedness to Adam & Eve. (Damn...

Ok... I'm really really trying here. Lets assume you dont know what offset printing, screen printing, dye sublimation, heat transfer or anything relating to the world of printing in general is. I'll ask this one simple question and I pray to Cthulu that you can answer it: What does your...

This is more or less what I do for a living. Post up some info about your company/website. Include the purpose of the site, theme, demeanor of the site and any other pertenent info you can give. It makes the creative process a lot easier when you're not shooting in the dark.

    Graphics T-shirt

I know this has been on here a while, but it looks as though it's created from vector art. If I were you, I'd go back and reorient the layers. Send his right arm to the very back and bring his head to the very front. It'll clear up those overlapping lines that you see and give it a "cleaner"...
