I had a similar problem its cause u dont have a Half-Life folder in ur steamapps. you can just copy ur other one and paste it there its what i did.

Hi im been playing ESF for a few days now and i found EVM, it was quite apealing, so i downloaded it however whenever i try and join an EVM server, when it tries to precache the resources, the game crashes, does anyone know how to fix this problem?
