i just opens up the text window thing, so does that mean its still meleesound.sc.txt?, because when i go file save as, then all files, i tried resaving it to see if it saved as meleesound.sc, but it keeps saying its already named meleesound.sc.txt...ehhhh

ok i made the folder, "events" then opened it, and put in a text, renamed it "meleesound.sc", opened it and did, file, save as, "all files" but i still get the same error in joining a server, and some other servers when i join auto boot me from the entire game when joining...........

what do you mean by, making sure i have all the files selected or i'll get meleesound.sc.txt?

great fixed my solustion, entered a server and now its downloading everything, sounds, sprites, models, ect. this is ub3r gh3y ( been waiting for more than an hour) ;(

because the full 1.23 wouldn't work i couldn't find my halflife folder thing, since i had none, so 1.21 made a halife folder, hence all the patches..... O_o

Cannot continue without scrip events/meleesound.sc, diconnecting. OK i downloaded the full 1.21 then patched to 1.22, then patched to 1.23, and every server i log into i get kicked out because of the reasons stated above... I would appericiate any help that comes my way.
