I can control my volume through my keyboard, by two buttons. But if I press them while playing ESF, it freezes the game. Why, and how do I fix this?

I was playing ESF, about 10min into a LAN game, and it just simply closed. Thats it, no errors or anything. I recently started using, ugh, Steam, because WON is gone. Was this a Steam or ESF problem, and anyway to prevent it from happening again?

Does that happen with everyone? I haven't checked if its taking screenshots. Next update? Bah.

Okay, so I install 1.2.1, and go to play it on LAN to test it out. Its starts running normally, but then it starts going really slow. Not lag, but like computer slow. So then I try it with Steam LAN, and I get the same thing. The previous version didn't do this, and other mods/games are fine...

Then I get "Invalid authentication message" in the console and it doesn't run.

When I start a new internet server, no one can see it. And when a friend starts a server, I can't see it. Although I can see other servers. Why is this? Its annoying, I want to play a server alone with one or two friends, but they can't see my servers and I can't see theirs.

Whenever the game gets minimized, from an IM, or anything else, and I go back to the game, there's no sound at all anymore. How do I fix that?

Oh, heh, I never see that high. Highest I've seen so far is 900. But I crash when I'm connecting to a server sometimes.

So do I, at least when I tried it. You use WON? Doesn't give you any trouble? I have some crashes once in a while...

I just played ESF for the first time and stuff, and I read how Steam would be better to use. All I do is just open the game and click "Play online" or whatever, so I'm not using Steam, so I must be using WON. But last time when I installed Steam, it somehow "spawned" files that were about 1gb...
