hmmm, what I dislike the most, actually, is the pose. that kind of pose seems to work for humanoid characters, but for a dragon, well, it just looks very odd. relax his shoulders and his back a bit, that could do a lot for the screenshot IMO.
yeah, I know the legs are wrong. I'm going to redo them completely after I've finished the rest of him, anyway, because the waist also seems wrong to me.
I'll try to define the cheekbones and give the head more of a curve, but I don't know if I'll be able to do it right. somehow, the head...
well, I'm working on Vincent Valentine from FFVII as my first model and I have some pictures of the WiP to show, as well as a question.
first, the pictures:
these are two...
looking good. I get the feeling the head still needs a bit of work, though...
maybe the top of the ears should be closer to the side of his head.
well, don't worry about it not feeling entirely right to me yet. I'm looking to crit, anyway.
post a flatshade render, that usually helps.
I think the shirt should be longer and that you should raise his legs a bit.
here's a ref I used to crit: http://keyblade.net/sasuke/imgs/merchan/actionfigure.jpg
just did a really crappy paint drawover to show what I mean, not to be used as...
cool, I think I understand what he means, even though I don't speak spanish :)
I think he's saying that there are a lot of people who speak spanish here, that they should get their own forum and that they should post that they want one here so that they can all speak their own language...
new models and such are only cosmetic changes, if you will.
you replace old characters' models/skins/sounds/whatever with other models/yaddayaddah, so you can see the custom model you have installed, but people online will still see the model they have installed with the same name.
hmmm, I appear to be the only one who liked this one better than ESF kidz.
kidz was overkill, if you ask me. I still don't understand how people could fall for that, yet not be fooled by this year's joke.
oh well, maybe we'll all be playing 1.2 on friday, so who cares about which joke is...
you'll have to be more specific. have you thought about what character you would like to make? if so, just find some pictures of that character, and refer to them while using the techniques from the tutorials you've read to recreate it in 3d.
I think the hair is a bit too rigid and goes upward too directly. a bit more of a curve, maybe making the strands a bit thicker and decreasing the amount of them would look more like SSJ2 gohan.
at least, that's what I think judging by a few reference pictures.
