Why when i try to enter any online game it comes up with cd key invalid and i enter my cd key it goes away and then it comes up again when i try to get into it again. and again ideas anyone???????

I've done that but when i try and enter a game it pops up with cd key invalid please enter your cd key over and over and i cant play!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have Half Life but i dont get the curtom game menu on my title screen how do i get onto earth special forces. and on my friends comp when he try's and logs onto a ESF server it says his cd code is not valid and wont let him log on even though the code is valid because he can get on the game...
