You got it right. Just drop the motd.txt in the ESF folder of your server, and then when players join, the motd will appear in the console. Note that you wont be able to see the motd from server side.

Goku has my vote :P mainly because he is an all around character. I use beams and anything else, when I need them, and Goku seems to be able to deliver some severe punishment. So, yeah, Goku is my favorite.

Are you double clicking, or single clicking? If you installed correctly, there should be no problem. Delete your ESF, and try re-installing it. Also shut down Steam while you install it, and then when you start Steam, it'll notice that ESF was installed, and then you should be able to run it.

Double hits are just another strategy. If you're good enough to not get hit, then you shouldn't have to worry about it. Basic melee is where the skill is at.
