what you have to do is unzip the .rar file using winrar or some other programme that allows you to unzip .rar files. Once you have unzipped it you should have some files with .mdl in it. Just place these files into the appropriate folders of esf and your done.

yea my half life is updated to 1.1.1.0 and steamed updated it and said that it was ready for offline play but i don't know how to make it so that esf plays in offline mode. all i get when i run esf is create game, join game, options then steam options.so i dont have the new game option and do i...

ok first off ive neva used steam before and wot i wud like to no is how do i play esf offline? and if it can b done can u tell me the steps to acheive this also ive tried pulling out the internet cable but steam just appears to freeze and wont load the game so n e help with this problem wud b...

lol it just stays at the beginning screen thing also i had my game playing yesterday and then it crashed/froze and then i went to go play it again the next day and it onli goes to steam browse page menu and am unable to play it.... n e help with this?

oh lol yea the bots were with it. but now it wont work. i went to go play it and it wont even start up it just goes to browse games

well thank u guys for ur help i had installed 1.2 before steam and so i reinstalled 1.2 again and it works now.once again many thanks.lol also can i get bots from the esforces site?

oh ok then so now i have a problem then. i have installed the 1.2 version to c:\sierra and theni had installed steam to there as well and now that i go to put in the patch it comes up saying "esf could not be found on selected destination. please choose again" n e help with this?

how do i update/upgrade to version 1.1.1.0 because i wouldn't have a clue as to where it is
