    the only problem with anything that relies on button/key mashing is ping. no offence its a cool idea and all, similar to my own but hitting your mosue buttons really fast wont give people with higher latency much of a chance in melee but its still a cool idea for the most part.     i dont know about how much the hl engine can handle and all, but think about it on my idea (yeah im -=Vegitto=-) and compare all that clicking to the amount of how many scatter shots and ki blobs renzouku's and all the rest that gets thrown around out in the field. im not saying you click madly...

    your right ping does present a major factor, however, i think i may have forgotten in my idea that if both players where to hit attack at the same time - maybe both attacks could collide. it happens in the show, they smack fists with fists and all sorts, its a giant clash of bone and sinew...

    well heres my 2 cents for the most part, i think melee should be kept along the simple path, my proposal is that swoop gets changed to a more open swoop mode as in, you click it on via a key and are able to move at the speed of swoop mode (toggleable), this opens up more tactical movement...
