Umm how do you get out of the holding cages??? I spent 30 minutes tryin' to figure it out and haven't succeeded.

I had to reciently uninstall ESF because the sounds wern't working. So when I go to install it again it acts like it's working and than boom the installer stops responding. What do I do to fix this?
