Ok, I know there's a way to do this, I just don't remember how excatly. Basically, what I'm looking to do is record sound as it comes out of my speaker. This does NOT involve a microphone, but there is some setting, somewhere that points your speaker output to the microphone inpute via software so that ANYTHING, regardless of program, is recorded. Anyone know how to do this?

Dunno what you're looking to do, but I use MCI Recorder to record sounds from video's and such on my cpu. You can find it here --> http://www.loadtrend.com/soundrecorder/

It's pretty straight forward. Can only record up to 40 seconds at a time though, if you're recording something longer and don't want to purchase the full version to record more, I just record in segments and splice it together with Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge. Should be able to find the demo somewhere here http://www.sonicfoundry.com/

Hope that helps you.

I think some speakers may already have this function. If your using windows, go to your Master Volume Conttol Menu, options>propeties>, click the recording tab and look for one of the following: Wave out, Stereo Mix, or Mono Mix. Select one of them if they show up and then on the ccheck box on the recording settings, select one of those isntead of "line in, microphone, ect". That shoudl record soudns comming form your speakers.
