Just an idea, me and a bunch of mates had.

Right me and a bunch of mates were having a Network game of esf, And when we had a break; came up with the idea, that Just before 1.3 is released, They should put it on ebay or here, and have a bid. And the highest bidder would be the first person to have a copy of the game. (Would be a nice way to Get some more money to support the game, and the website). I know I would probably pay 100 bucks, Which the price of a new game here. (And for a quality game like esf why not? it also helps support it). Anyhow. thats my 2 cents.

It's not allowed for the ESF team to make money from this mod, since it's.. a mod. Valve owns the copyrights for the half-life engine and "insert company name here" owns the copyrights of DBZ.. So the ESF basicly owns nothing, thus making money from this game = stealing..

It is, however, possible to receive donations, but that's a whole other aspect and doesn't apply to your idea.
