WTF is up with ESF!??

Okay, today I decided to update Steam, as I haven't done it in a while. So, I do, thinking that update bug was fixed. But, it turns out that neither ESF nor Half-Life works now. What is up?!?!?

Oh damn!! Wrong section! Well, I made a thread just like this in Help before I realized this. So could you just post there? As for this thread you can close it!

I am banned, my opinion is at this point, irrelevant.

Reinstall? That might work. Try reinstalling ESF first, if it fails try Half-life.

Just because his Steam / ESF doesn't work, It doesn't has to be a virus.

Both of you are wrong.

Try deleting clientregistry.blob in your steam folder and then run steam again. Steam should update itself again and possibly this may fix your issue. If that doesn't try reinstallnig hl and esf, or steam, hl and esf.
