Seen the dinosaur and animals ideas.
So I was thinking about some other stuff like items.

In the older versions we could find sensubeans that was very usefull.
Was wondering if more items will be added.

Like the Saiyan Armor to give you 25% (or what ever you guys want) more defence.
Power Pole for goku to give him 10% more attack strength.
Maybe some other usefull stuff.

Its just an idea its up for you guys what to do with this.

Those senzu beans were the dumbest idea ever to add to this game. It's just a way for newbies to stay alive longer (and for pros to absolutely rape everything that moves). I don't recall a single instance of a map with senzu beans where they weren't utterly abused. I don't see how any other items could be useful without simultaneously being ridiculously overpowered.

I agree with avenger
And plus.. I don't think adding items will be interesting, in fact it'd be the worst thing I've seen in ESF

Animal AI = bot code as base.

Items = whole new system

That and it would be pointless since ESF is to fast paced.

But as people said. The senzu beams were bad, like really really bad. youd get senzu beam whoring left and right if only they were on the map. They were worse than Buus candy beam attack.

There could be a map with fifty senzubean spawns. Then it'd be a competition for who could use the most deadly exploits/moves.

Now with Kung-Fu action!

There was no harm suggesting it ^^. A little tough to get right though without destroying ESF's pace.

bad idea, esf isnt a rpg online
*cough*

Bonus points

With the addition of special moves a system was added to allow players to earn bonus points and then use them to β€œbuy” special attacks. Bonus points are earned by performing actions in the game, such as simple melee hits. The system is designed so that more advanced actions are given a greater reward. For example, a simple melee hit will give you 1 point; the second hit will give you an additional 2 points, third hit 4 points, fourth 8 points and so on. Of course this only counts for continuous hits. If the target recovers from his blow back your point multiplier also gets reset.
Somewhat close to RPG :p.

Yea but you know darn well that that is a metaphore ^^

You dont buy special moves. The bonus points are a limiter so that you cant spam the specials XD

Like the combo bar in some 2D fighters. You fill it to a degree and the specials cost points from thzat bar. Same concept. Only no wacky button combinations and in full 3D action game style XD

I think that limit system is good.
But a chance that guy who seems to be pro's will get an advantage on this am I right??
Since you have to earn your points with hits.

A buy option would be good as well with a charge bar on it.
But then again its not my thing to judge about it.
I am sure the team will do well putting this out in a good mod :)

Isn't the point that good players should be rewarded for being good? This massively decreases noob beamspam.

You earn the points by doing various things. Special combinations earn you more points, some attacks give you more points than others and so on. We can give points for preety much anything we can think of, be it offensive or defensive.

@Avenger. While that does decrease the beamspam. It allso decreases the player number as newbs wont want to play a game where they only die all the time.

The only way to fix this problem would be a proper ranking system, but that's not going to happen. The choice is between "Let pros have their fun and drag other players into the game with them" and "Let newbies kill everything so it's all a random spam-fest" at this point.

1.1 had a simple solution to that problem avenger.

It was called HOWing. That anoying part of the 1.1 melee system was actually the loophole that connected noobs to the pros. The pros had angle hits and the noobs had HOWing.

Though for 1.3 we kinda have something similar yet totally different XD

I can see many people not liking it saying its luck based but it can be used quite strategically depending on player patern :p

Let pro's has theyre fun??
Lol well what about the less good players??

But Grega you get points as well when you die?? :p
A good thing on that would be when you die 3 times in a row without making a kill that you get some points.

Less good players need to get better. The only reason I kept playing ESF was because I couldn't seem to beat people. By the time I was beating 99% of the players, it got boring, and playing vs scripters wasn't exactly a hoot.

Rewarding people for dying seems stupid.
