So I was actually looking up stuff on Bid for power when I came across this mod.

I have a few questions though.

1. If I buy 1 copy of half life would I be able to play against my brothers on multiple computers? Like would I have to buy two games if I wanted to play against them?

2. I'm just curious on this one, I'm actually going to buy the game but why isn't it possible to play ESF on a downloaded version of Half life?

3. What version of ESF should I download? I get confused with all of the versions out.

Thanks in advance!

1. Yes you can on Lan.

2. If you mean a illegal copy of Half-Life, of course not.

3. The current is v1.2.3 Full

Alright! Thanks a bunch, that really helps!

But why is it required to actually buy the game? Like I know there are ways to get a free version of half life on steam, do you need the CD key or something?

I'll start downloading steam and buy half life tonight.

Another question though.

1. Are there usually people to play with online?

2. Are ECX and EVM the same thing? I know they are like add-ons of ESF.

Also do I have to go out and actually buy the game from a store or can I do it online through steam?

And if I do it online will I still be able to play it with my brothers over Lan? I mean how would that work?

You shouldn't double post.

And you shouldn't rogue moderate, Gryph. :)

To answer your question:

1.) Typically there are servers to play on.

2.) I'm pretty sure, ECX is the latest version of EVM if I'm correct.

3.) You can buy Half-life through Steam.

What you do over Lan is, disconnect yourself from the internet and you both can log into the same steam account, and play via lan.

Id given up on ESF LANS back in the WON days. Interesting to know you can pull it off with Steam with the one account though.

Tried teaching mates to play so often, its just 'too hard' for them...tsss -_- Easier than a standard FPS imo.
