I dunno, I personally think when dealing with a character that has a trademark look, it's not a good idea to mess with it. If you'd switch the colours to red / blue, or even red / black, I think it would look so much better.

I like it, from where did U get the background.

He made it himself.
It wouldn't be a sig otherwise, and he would be flamed to hell by this far if he would have just picked it from teh intahnets.

Anyways, to be honest, i don't like it so much, first to come in my mind is that: "Wth, BLUE spiderman?"
Bg is pretty ok, but doesn't fit in there imo.

I would lose the bigger BG image or move it the right or the left, so it's like it's barely looking over the main images shoulder.

Then add text that appears on the opposite side of where you slide the bigger BG image.

I'd also darken the BG effects a lot, to add to the residual flow.
