Please help, i don't know what to do.

Hi, before i ask anything, i'd like to say i read "Sticky: How to install ESF"
so don't refer me to this again, cause i didn't help.

So my problem is that when i try to install esf, the button of "install" stays blank,
doesn't turn black orso .. i tried to install it in several other maps, but the button
remaind blank, i've installed half-life on a second partition (so not on the C partition)
CS and everything else works flawless, accept the installation of ESF

If anyone knows what i have to do, PLEASE reply

Where'd you download the file from? The ESF servers? Maybe its a corrupted file. Try a mirror.
BTW, I reckon you're using steam too...

Yes i use steam, yes once from the half-life server (linked from the esf server)
and also from this link " http://www.ausgamers.com/files/details/html/18760 "
but that one didn't worked either ...

Please Don't double post. Try downloading from HL2Files.

Sigh...you need to run Half-Life once before installing ESF, otherwise there's nowhere to install to, if you don't believe me look in your SteamApps, there is supposed to be a folder with your username but it won't be created until you run at least one game you have on Steam. And then inside it you'll find the folders of the other games, each of which need to be run for their folder to be created. Capiche?

Long story short, Run Half-Life once.

Yea what Dan said. And the "how to install ESF" Sticky does tell you to run HL once befor installing ESF.

check ure HD and try to turn programs off if it still doesnt work...

Or look at your half life folder.. maybe its in a wrong direction.
