As for the "illegal msg 128" problem = ESF OPEN BETA

when i isntall open beta appear this msg....

i try to reinstall dont work....

you need to use steam with a legal copy of half-life1
esf open beta doesnt work with won and we dont support it here

You need Steam and a valid copy of Half-Life in order for your problem to be fixed (as stated by Grega and liad).

On a side note the mods will hate you for asking for warez. This forum doesnt suport anything illegal. Buy Half Life or get no suport.

DakkoN, your choices are 'Purchase a copy of Half-Life', which isn't too difficult these days, or 'Never Play ESF'. I'll leave this thread open in case you aren't sure how to legally purchase a copy.

However, if you bring up 'cracks' again the thread will be closed and you may just recieve a warning for your troubles. We're kinda serious about the whole 'Legal' thing.

If you can't afford half-life ($10), how did you afford your pc?
Surely there is some way you can earn $10 (= R$21?), even if it takes a few weeks?
If you don't think it's worth the money, then don't play it.

LOL, i use a pc in a lan house, half life in brazil cust like a $100, this because our stupid president. And the dolar > real our coin.

Oh... I can see it might be a bit more complicated for a LAN house, but you still need to pay for it...

Currency conversion
1 US dollar = 2.03 Brazil reais (2,03 in Brazilian numbers )

Half-Life 1 = US$10, so you would need about R$21.
You can buy Half-Life online from www.steampowered.com.

Or you could try to find a pre-owned/second-hand/used Half-Life 1 CD instead.
Then go to Steam's website and activate the CD.
