Yes, any package that has the original first half-life (half-life 1) included in it will work with ESF.

Half-Life anthology is a rip-off.

You're paying for three games, when you only need to buy a copy of HL, and the cd-key will give you access to Op-for and Blue-shift.

What Mountain Dewd said is true.
Try to search for a normal Half-Life first.

Yes , but you can also do that in the original package.
Plus, you get Counter-Strike 1.6 What is not a Mod nowadays since Valve decided to make it it's own package.

Also, you get WoN too if you install it separately than to steam which is better on Lan Games for example.

As you may know already, Half-Life includes all mods what come in Anthology.

If you are buying on Steam, get HL Anthology.

Half-Life = $10
HL Anthology = $15 (HL1, TFC, Oposing Force & Blueshift - all 4 of these games are $10 each!)

I don't know about the HL1 cd... TFC came with it, but Blue Shift and Oposing Force didn't, they costed extra...
Maybe Steam does give you them for free, but I've never tried registering my HL cd so I don't know.

edit: @LegendarY, sorry I deleted my original post... I didn't really read your replies properly til after I wrote it, then I decided it didn't make sense.
