Extracting 1.3 zip

once i've downloaded ESF 1.3, how do i install it?

does it become a seperate programme? (to use via steam)

do i have to backup my ESF 1.2.3 then extact it all into that folder?

help, im confused and the sounds seem really awesome!

copy the ziped file in C: \Program Files\Steam\steamapps\???\half-life as it is ! the game shud apear in steam under your esf 1.2.3!

Extract it into \steamapps\username\half-life

ESF 1.2.3 isn't required.

Extract all of this files into the Half-Life folder, just extract the entire folder.

where do u get esf 1.3? i have esf 1.2.3 and ecx rc2 8.4 BP. but i want to try out esf 1.3 someone please tell me.

Its called "Open Beta"

Its the same thing the beta testers and the team has. It gets updated every month or two with bug fixes and stuff. Its to buggy to play for competition but its there so the comunity can see what the team is doing to the game and help the team find as many bugs as possible. Basically letting the comunity participate in the beta testing.

But there are no servers up for it cause its to unstable to play normally.

Guys iv tried extracting the folder iv tried puting the zip in the folder but nothings working can soem one help

What's not working?

Extract the contents of the archive to a new folder within your Half-Life directory, open up Steam and it should be under your "My games" tab.

The link I gave you in the other thread was the latest version; no patch needed.

Could have saved a lot of hassle just by looking here:
