This thread is ten years late, I know, BUT still I couldn't find a solution.

I did see some guys spray their own images in esf, but apparently the method to get it working is different from Half life 1.

What i REALLY don't need here is guys giving the same old advice again and again. So... in advance:

-Yes, the image is of proper size 64x64, I believe.
-Yes, it's been transfered into .wad.
-I saved it as tempdecal.wad and pldecal.wad in the half-life/valve folder.
-YES, IT WORKS IN HL1, but not in esf.
-Steam's official method tells you to save it as a .bmp file in /logos folder. And it doesn't work and apparently never did.

If I could hear an advice from a competent person, I'd be glad.
Thanks

Did you try saving the .wad files in half-life/esf folder?

Thanks, hleV

Silly me, it was so easy all along.
Worked fine.

At first I thought you were trolling by saying stuff I'd already mentioned

The files in the valve foulder are for HL1, ESF has its own files XD

Also make sure you set both files to read only. Or else youll overwrite them with the default sprayevery time you hit OK in the settings menu.
