... or if the 'big guys' would make a Dragonball 'create your own character' RPG (that is not an MMO) with a really complex character creator. This is just a simple worthless thread that will be here just so people would have a read of what ideas I would have if I were in charge of making a character creator for such a game. Merely my fantasy (kept within some limits, I assure you) and ... blargh

Let's get started with how it would be to play as the Saiyans, the proud warrior race from Planet Vegeta.

The classes.

1. The Saiyan Warrior
Class representative: Son Gokū

Fighting Style: Saiyan Warriors employ a decent number of beams and rays that they can use in battle, some of them being quite powerful and capable of levelling large areas. They also welcome the idea of learning techniques that don't originally come from Planet Vegeta. When they fight they prefer to use Defence first in order to test out the opponents powers and offensive later. They fight clean and honourably and do not employ dirty tricks. (though they do from time to time like to use 'clean' tricks that opponents, fooled by them, would call dirty)

Pro's: The Saiyan Warrior is the class that possesses the largest amount of Willpower. Thanks to this they are the most likely to achieve high levels of power through their sheer will to become the best and the strongest and through their sheer love for fighting. They also possess good statistics all around.

Con's: Because of their war-like nature, Saiyans are not known for being the brightest and the Warrior also suffers from this. A very intelligent enemy can easily fool a Warrior and this also makes them quite susceptible to mental attacks. They also like to fight with honour, to such a point that, if able, they will eliminate factors that give them an advantage over an enemy that have nothing to do with their own power.

Likelihood of becoming a Super-Saiyan: Very likely: Their very nature of wanting to become the best makes them the most likely to achieve the level of Super-Saiyan. This likelihood is even boosted if they fight to defend someone they love, or if they lose them.

Playing Difficulty: Easy, can spike to Normal.

2. The Saiyan Noble/ Royal
Class representative: Vegeta

Fighting Style: Saiyan Nobles/Royals employ a decent number of beams and rays that they can use in battle, some of them being quite powerful and capable of levelling large areas. They are also the only ones capable of learning the 'Final Flash', the most powerful beam attack that a Saiyan can learn. When going for hand to hand combat they mostly go for the offensive. They also like to humiliate their opponents as much as possible and will occasionally use brutal attacks to break their limbs.

Pro's: As a Noble/Royal they receive the finest training. Because of this they start off as very powerful when compared to how the rest of the Saiyan classes start. As royals they also posses a superior intellect compared to the other classes, making them less likely (though not unlikely) to be fooled by intelligent foes.

Con's: Because a Noble/Royal is raised believing that he is the most powerful they often lack the motivation to want to become the most powerful. This often leads them to resort to drastic tactics such as nearly getting themselves killed to quickly become stronger. Because of their arrogant nature they also tend to underestimate their opponents and overestimate themselves. Their egos can also get easily hurt and this can drive them to be reckless. Rivals and very powerful enemies can raise their motivation to become stronger.

Likelihood of becoming a Super-Saiyan: Likely: Nobles/Royals often think they already are the best around and this can make the process of becoming a Super-Sayian very difficult for them. Though hubris is their downfall it is also the very thing that could motivate them to become a Super-Saiyan. This likelihood is even boosted if they fight to defend someone they love, or if they lose them (though they will never admit that was the case).

Playing Difficulty: Easy, but can spike to Hard.

3. The Saiyan Barbarian
Class Representative: Nappa

Fighting Style: Saiyan Barbarians employ a decent number of beams and rays that they can use in battle, some of them being quite powerful and capable of levelling large areas. Unique to them is their very barbaric nature giving them abilities, that would usually be used by great apes or by creatures, such as shooting rays from their mouths or eyes. When fighting hand to hand they go for the offensive 100% don't give a f***. They overwhelm their opponents with their brutality and aggressive attacks. They often go for breaking their opponents limbs, faces, ribs, pelvises, femurs, funny bones, etc. They just don't give a f***. They also are likely to go berserk.

Pro's: Their strength and endurance is nothing to sneeze at. Often opponents make the mistake of believing that they are slower than other Saiyans just because their enormous size, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Their rage is so great that often energy just burst from everywhere around their bodies. They also posses large amounts of not giving a f*** and go berserk, becoming even more dangerous than they already are.

Con's: With the focus on strength and endurance Barbarians are by far the dumbest of all Saiyan classes. Easily fooled, and manipulated by their opponents they can be a danger for friendlies. They also have the toughest time when facing opponents that somehow are just as strong as they are or stronger and their reckless nature makes them a danger to both themselves and friendlies.

Likelihood of becoming a Super Saiyan: Very unlikely: Barbarians have a tough time becoming Super-Saiyans. Their reckless nature makes them very likely to get killed before they can ever achieve it. They give no f*** about others so bye-bye boost from loved ones. The only thing that can drive them to become a S.S. is their rage, but they do need a lot of it. If however, a Barbarian does somehow manage to become a SS through sheer rage alone, then may his enemies beware! (Broly maybe)

Playing difficulty: Very Hard

4: The Saiyan Soldier
Class representative: Bardock
301px-BardockFatherOfGokuNVk1.png

Fighting Style: Saiyan Soldiers employ a decent number of beams and rays that they can use in battle, some of them being quite powerful and capable of levelling large areas. When fighting hand to hand they employ a mix between clean and brutal attacks. They can go berserk but only if pushed to their limits.

Pro's: All around good statistics and a good mix of techniques. They can also surprise their enemies by going berserk and often always have at least one more soldier to back them up in a fight.

Con's: Low class Saiyans often lack the finer training of the Nobles/Royals and the sheer Willpower of Warriors. This makes them into a big case of nothing special and because of this they start off as the most inferior of all the saiyan classes. Even if they become stronger they will still always struggle compared to them.

Likelihood of becoming a Super-Saiyan: 'Hardly a chance brah!' Soldiers have to face the fact that they are inferior to the other classes. This inferiority complex makes them more likely to pick fights against weaker opponents or to go in groups against stronger ones. While there is a chance that one of the soldiers may have higher will than the others, it would still take the loss of every single friend and family member and maybe even entire race to push them that far, that is as long as they don't give into despair at that point.

Playing difficulty: Hard, but can spike to very hard.

When I feel like it I'll make something like this for the Namekians and Humans.

Disagreements, agreements, WTF's? Post below. How would you do a classification like this?

(Do keep in mind that I din't see any of the DB, DBZ or DB GT movies and for the most part I don't regard anything they bring forth as cannon enough for me to care about them, though there could be some exceptions)
