Well for the american esf players we have a super cup.
If you are intrested to play some tournaments again with us feel free to join it on our esfl website.

After getting some information we have set the brackets on 8 for now.
We can always change it when we have 16 players or multiply on that.

The rules will be the basic rules that you have for every other tournament.
And no special rules will be added like last year.

Prices to win:

1. 5 esfl credits + 50 exp points
2. 30 exp points
3. 10 exp points

How to join:

1. Make an account on www.esforces-league.com
2. Go to tournaments and choose Amercian Super Cup.
3. In red letters you can see that you can join the cup.
4. Your team name must be the same as your user name.

Sign ups time:
You can sign up untill 1 nov.
Its a short time and you dont have to wait long.

PS: For the European players a super cup will be made as well.
Just give us a few days and we let you know when the tournament page is open for you as well.

Hi Sting. Looks like you're relatively new with making tournaments.
What are the basic rules?
Do I need a ref/rep of ESFL when I play?
What do the credits and exp points do?
How come I can't just sign up here, your signing up process on your web site seems too intrusive. I dont want you to know my bday or my gender.
What servers can I play on? How will you ensure that my ping (from California) would be comparable to the East Coast ESF kids?
Why is the sign up time soo long?

I send you a pm instead.

Here is a list with the sign ups so far:

- Loki
Why would you answer that in a pm? No one as any idea what any of that stuff actually means.

I think it would be better to give that kind of information in this thread instead of a PM so people who may be interested can have information about all of this.

Problem is that I remember last time. All kind of spam post I get from my last topic on this forum.
To prevent such things I rather want to PM them.

If you're going to advertise a tournament, you need to expressly state the parameters of such a tourney. There is literally no other place where the answers to Loki's questions should be more apparent.

Hi,

Looks like you're relatively new with making tournaments.
Well I let you think what you want to think or believe.
I know what I have done in the past

What are the basic rules?
The basic rules are the American Basic Rules.
Like the rules that you have been using on other tournaments.
If you dont know these rules I would advice you to ask someone who has knowledge about it.

Do I need a ref/rep of ESFL when I play?
There is no need for a referee since we are growing and ESFL just excist 1 year.
We dont have the people yet nor that we get any applications for it.

What do the credits and exp points do?
ESFL Credits is like your money.
You can pay some pay to play tournaments and the pro league when you have enough credits.
But thats only if you are intrested to play in such leagues or tournaments.

EXP Points are like Experiance points.
You can use these points to gain a higher level of ladders and high ranking tournaments.
The more EXP points you have the stronger the ladder you can play in.
We have 7 ranks or what you can say 7 divisions. 7 Star division will be the highest non pay ladder in ESFL.
The 1 Star will be the lowest.

We do this to make the competition as good as possible.
And give people the chance to go to a higher league.

How come I can't just sign up here, your signing up process on your web site seems too intrusive. I dont want you to know my bday or my gender.
Well I have no idea what you are looking for with this.
Is this childsplay or are you serious about this question.

2 things to say about this.
- You dont have to sign up if you dont want to. That is all up to you.
Do know you wont be able to play in the tournaments then.
All of our tournaments and leagues we need an account because of prices and formality.

- As for your account protection there is a option that you can hide your account.
That means also for me.
But let you know if you put it in hide status no one can see it.
What means people cant visit your page and leave a boards message.
I am not even sure if you can be invited to a clan/team.
For us this website is new as for anyone else.

What servers can I play on?
You can play only on deticated servers.
We dont have servers and we want to leave this up to the players them selfs.

How will you ensure that my ping (from California) would be comparable to the East Coast ESF kids?
As with all games that runs over the internet there is no one who can ensure anyone from such a thing.
Thats why I let you people decide together with Trex on what server will be the best.
It will be a server where the ping is close as possible.
Remember we can not ensure anything.

Why is the sign up time soo long?
10 days is long to you?
I believe you try to troll me here like I have the idea that you doing that all your post long.
But you know I let you.

But I give you a serious answer instead.
Normal tournaments are like 1 month time on signing up.
10 days is kinda very short.
Also we are in a new month then and can be a nice start of the month.

Its up to you if you sign up.
We dont force anyone and we try to give the people something instead.
And some are intrested like Loki and some might say no to it.
Thats all up to you what you want.

Kind regards,

His PM

TL;DR
Find your own servers, rules are whatever the combatants feel like, Credits = money; no reps/refs; intimately detailed questions on sign up because he wants to know you, as opposed to just signing up non informally here on the boards...

And for all the tournaments Ive ran, Ive noticed a longer sign up date will most likely lose interest in players. ESF isnt a "Hey the tournament is starting Saturday lets put that in our calendar!" its a sporadic game, at least over here it is.

I don't think having a credits system is cool. That's cool if people want to pay for a cash prize, but something like that shouldn't be a part of a league that you're trying to make happen. Especially for a game like ESF. The league should be open to everyone, and from what it sounds like you're going to need to pay credits to participate in the Pro branch. I don't think that's very healthy to any community in a game (besides a big game) that wants to try and be competitive, especially for just a mod.

When you have less people that actively play ESF than a small family owned business....pay 2 play seems kinda silly

Cash prizes really don't belong in a tournament like this. Not only are some of the possible competitors below 18 years of age, we have no guarantee that we'd even get what we won or that other competitors wouldn't cheat just to get the money.

Well not sure if you checked the page allready.
But let me tell you this:

Non payment leagues:
1 Star Ladder League (1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4)
2 Star Ladder League (1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4) (500 EXP needed)
3 Star Ladder League (1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4) (1400 EXP needed)
4 Star Ladder League (1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4) (2800 EXP needed)
5 Star Ladder League (1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4) (5000 EXP needed)
6 Star Ladder League (1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4) (8000 EXP needed)
7 Star Ladder League (1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4) (12000 EXP needed)

European Super Cup (1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4)
American Super Cup (1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4)
European Championships (1 vs 1) (2800 EXP needed)
American Championships (1 vs 1) (2800 EXP needed)

Payed Leagues:
ESFL Pro League ( 1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4 )
ESFL Pro Cup ( 1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4 )

ESFL Ultimate Dragon Championship ( 1 vs 1 ) (2800 EXP needed)

In my opinion there are enough non payment leagues.
Once and last time to say this......YOU DONT HAVE TO PLAY IN A PAYMENT LEAGUE IF YOU DONT WANT TO!!!!
If you dont like it then dont pay attention to it.
Its your opinion its ok I seen many post last time. And loads of spam what isnt usefull to me at all.
Like the schedule is giving it this is all the leagues I had in mind for ESF: Final.
This isnt about now its about the future.
And lets see how it will be when the time is there.

For now this cup is running and if you feel like to enter it then sign up.
If not hey your call.
