[Old PotW] NEW PR GUY + NEW POTW 7.29.2012

My friends, it is my pleasure to announce that I am the new official PR guy for the ESF team. Over the past few weeks, it has become increasingly apparent to me that people were getting restless and apprehensive about the state of the mod. They clamored for updates, information, anything that would let them know how the mod was progressing. That is now going to be a thing of the past, because I'm now going to give you up to the minute updates on what is happening in the world of ESF. To start off this celebratory occasion, I am going to release a new POTW for you all to fawn over.

Disclaimer: This isn't 100% ingame. It was slightly touched up with photoshop, but I don't think that what I did to it would be considered anything major.

Aw man! Sick Graphics! Let alone the sprites look like they got updated as well as the Models and Maps! Is this on the Unreal 4 Engine?!

Believe it or not, that is still good old Half-Life 1. We decided to try out a new cel shader to give the game a more cartoony, down to earth feel. Raven is very talented.

I'm going to assume the latest picture features new shaders.

If you want my honest opinion, I don't like them in their current form. The grayscale is interesting and isn't in many video games, so that's a plus. However, the first one looks too "waterpixely" and the second one is way too blurry for my tastes. I'm hoping you will be able to tone down the effects of these shaders, because they're honestly not bad ideas, they're just way overdone. Also, is the first picture just a taste of the shader? In my opinion, something like that would be great for a water shader. It matches the water theme perfectly.
