Questions about the game

i have some questions about the game
1)Why ESF developers didn't used Source Engine?
2)What are the new features add in Half life Engine? (ex: dynamic shadow etc)
3)The requiriments to play the game (hardware)

I can only answer the first. Source is a far more constrictive engine. They simply wouldn't have been able to do what they have done using it.

Well from what I've heard

1. SO FAR AS I'VE HEARD: They already had the source code from 1.2 and they wanted to build up from that, also find the challenge in exceeding the gldsrc engine into something that it wasn't supposed to be capable of.. Also gldsrc is pretty reliable.
2. Don't know, and not sure if it's going to be answered either .. they don't tell every single thing yet.
3. Don't know either, but so far as I know it's a little above the source engine level.

What do you mean Sgtlobster? This is work-in-progress of ESF: Final aka 1.3, it's not available yet...

Ah okay - I did not realize that this footage is unreleased - looks great though! any word on when it will come out?

They are still tweaking a lot in the game and their stable esf become unstable and back to stable. I don't think they are sure yet.
