ESF Open Beta

After playing esf 1.2.3 for awhile i went to the website, I noticed a download link at the top for ESF final 1.3 open beta, I download it, open the game and..... No one is playing.

Is there any reason for this? I would really like to play the beta for 1.3 final. Is it really buggy or glitched or what...? or did i download some old beta or something.

The Open Beta is everything you said: old, outdated and buggy as heck. They stopped making open beta releases when everyone apparently failed to realize what a beta is. So now they work on a much, much newer and better version of ESF, with their own set of testers.

ESF 1.2.3 is the last stable release. No one will be playing the Open Beta version since it wasn't meant to be play competitively, only for bug testing.
