no console

If I activating the ESF Mod from the ingame mod menu in halflife then click the console button or try to start a lan game the program displays the loading screen for 1-2 minutes than reports that an error has occured with hl and then windows says the problem is because of:

AppName: hl.exe AppVer: 1.1.0.8 ModName: client.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0007e043

WTF is up? Why can't i play ESF?

try typing "\Half-Life\hl.exe -console" the /halflife is the halflife folder BTW.

this will enable your console, miight help, but atleast you can access the console

it has nothing todo with the console its a client.dll error
read the faq you answers are there
