When I play the mp3's supplied with the alpha 2.0 of ESF, some parts of some songs distort due to the enormous noise lvl's of most of the channels in the song. I was wondering if who ever converted the sound files to mp3's did a normalization process to 98% before he/she put them in the game. This will often help clear up unwanted distortion and make everyone who listens to the files happy that they can actually hear the song and what's going on in the game.

You could always convert the compression to WAV format, filter them yourself, and convert them back. Did that to a bootleg Metallica Studio Jam and now I can hear the notes :)
