1.1.0.9 ok?

I've never posted before (I glean enough enjoyment simply
from reading the forums) but this thought has me worried.

Are you guys going to be all right with the new version of Halflife out today?

Just paranoid. I've been waiting with bated breath for the next
version (especially the scale-down) for a while now, and I'd hate
for you guys to suffer a huge setback so late in the game.
I'm not sure if everyone on the forums realizes just how many
people are watching this mod. I imagine, however, that the
number of people who actually add to threads is dwarfed by the
those who browse through daily, read,... and wait.

To the Team: Thanks for your efforts; the silent masses of fans
appreciate what you're doing more than you may know!

Sure it does. I go to load namek_3 and the whole skys gone, lol

The latest update WILL be required to play teh BETA when its released, so make sure you DO get it at some point

i just re installed half life and now i have to download the full patch, how annoying...

This update sucks its not only screwed up esf its fecked up alot of mods most of the mods ive got the skys are gone cant create lan games this up date is Sh!t

I've also got the patch on my FTP just in case. Yet i am pissed off i couldn't play to many maps without looking up and seeing my crosshair gone (can't see it to well in a white sky).

Hmmm that fast site with the update must be messed up because I downloaded the update and cs1.4 and all my mods are fine...The site i got it from was pretty fast but since im in skool i cant post up the link. I was receiving the hl update at 100k/s on my crappy cable and cs1.4 only took 10mins... check back later and ill follow up with the link.

in the end it doesn't even maater

the cstrike update takes long to download 2, i think it was like a 300 min wait, but i just let it go overnight and i was good.

Here's a few workarounds for problems in the new release:

(*) For LAN play, you'll want to add "-insecure" to the HLDS command line.
(*) The skies aren't showing up for some people (and not because they have their blinds closed). If you suffer from this problem, visit this thread at the Catacombs. Yep, the fixes work for HL and CS too.
(*) Server stats programs are useless because the same uniqueid is given to the killer and the dead guy. A fix will be released soon, server-side only.
(*) Erik has another server bug and solution; this issue will be fixed in the new server-side release: ``We've found a bug in the engine that will prevent clients from connecting to your server if you have "sv_allowdownload 0" set and your server is running in "secure" mode. ... If you set "sv_allowdownload 1" and "sv_send_resources 0", clients will be able to connect to your server (running in "secure" mode) and game resources will NOT be downloaded to them.'' It only affects CS.
