Explosions

I don't like the explosions like they are now. There are two points I really dislike:
.) Transparencity: I think they shouldn't be transparent. Maybe dustclouds or something (if this would be quite easy to make), or just solid explosions would be better I suppose.
.) What remains: Even if you charge a SB to full energy and you shoot it at the ground it does a black patch of about the size of a KI Blast. Doesn't HL engine support more??

Look for some goodies in the Particle system, if they get it done for Beta 1.

so are you going to make the explosion more realistic ?

Improving the explosions would be cool. But I don't really care about the explosions the way they are now, so either way.

I cant say ive noticed much wrong with the explosions just now

all i want is melee and the speed of the game to be improved... coz rite now melee is crap so bascially its just ki attacks and they're slow newayz... but now u can move while chargin hopefully that will add speed...

Yeh i luv Melee on TV but melee in ESF Sucks!

I was playing just now, and started thinking..Making the explosions detailed would just lag the game even more, no?

i reckon that the xplosions are ok rite now so it dun matta.... i think they just gotta add gameplay... graphix ain everythun in a game its gameplay...

I know but changing the grafic for the explosion isnt really hard

no
it will only lag if your pc is from the last century
it´s only grafic
the information about how big the explosion is and so on, are still the same

i have a athon 1,4 :notice: improve the explosions!!!

the partical system woudl allow stuff like rocks and dust to come out of the ground when shot...

but you didnt answer if the explosion will be different because it does look kinda funny right now maby if it was more solid
