I've heard about the scale-down on the characters, and i've seen it on screenies, but on to my question:

Will the scale-down affect the "clipping" on the view? I mean, i have a pretty lousy computer and 3dfx card, so stuff that is far away will get clipped, and thats a huge disadvantage to me on open maps, so does this scale-down affect the distance view?

remember the levels arent huge they just seem to be the engine will still interpret the levels as being the same size it shouldn't change anything, should still be the same as alpha 2.0 . This is just an educated guess

The scale-down was just on the models.

The maps aren't any larger, really..they just appear to be because the new models are so much smaller.

That's a good thing, really.
It is....honest.

A lot of the lag has been reduced by streamlined code and a "handling" shift of beams from server to client side.

If anything they should limit the number of arenas to one or two, multi cell arena's get annoying. :S

you haven't played the original esf_cellarena_lg

that map is small and terrible. vegetas and trunks get up high and final flash 3-4 people at once. im glad their scaling down because that means more room to dodge the spammers!!

PEACE AND CHICKEN GREASE!!!:) :) :D
