Change To Q3 ?

MUHAHAHA this mod has a n00B forums... so i can post my n00b question

why not change ESF to Q3 and take advantage of the newer engine which includes better lighting, support for newer technologies and many more !!

Probably because half life is more popular, and that IS a fact. Also the game was designed for the half life engine so it would be hard to exchange it. They would pretty much have to make it all over again. And the half life engine is probably the most customizable engine, all the way down to the menu screens.

Fixxxer brings up good points. And don't worry about the HL engine not being good enough. Because the ESF team has taken the HL engine to it's limits and then some. The Beta will look fantastic. So it shouldnt be a problem.

changing the engine for the mod was suggested many times before
