'client.dll can't be loaded'

Everytime I try to join a game I get the message 'Module D:\Half Life\esforces\cl_dlls\client.dll can't be loaded'.

Any suggestions?

I am now having the same problem... before I was getting Mod_NumForName:sprites/voiceicon.spr not found. I heard it works with CS so I will assume its not that.


PS. I have tried the fmod.dll thing.

i have the exact same problem......that sucks...i dont get whats wrong... o_o

Ah nvm, just found I accidently downloaded an old version from the files section. I guess you better remove the links there and put the ones from the news page on, as it seems to cause some confusion.

The correct file to download is called esfb100.exe and 91.61 megs in size.
