Please, i need some answer!!

Alright, ESF just crashed again, i'm getting annoyed.

It seems to be anything i do, powerup, melee, transform.

I tried cl_fxquality 1, 2, 3, 0 and they all crash

I hear people talking about changing resoulutions, can someone explain this further? I really need help, i can't play on the internet or even in a LAN game by MY SELF.

activate esf>configuration>video>video modes>switch to opengl

I tried every different kind of resolution on the OpenGL

and it still crashes, now i can't even join or make games!

and its locking up windows, i just picked my computer and it crashed (i'm typing this on a different computer)

Any other suggestions to why this won't work??? I want to play the beta!

do you have the latest half life patch? 1.1.1.0?

Yes i do, also i don't know if it matters but here are the other mods sharing half life

Natrual Selection
ESForces Alpha
ESF Beta
Deathmatch Classic
Ricothet (or whatever its called)

not sure if it matters.

Telling us when it crashed, what you were doing, and if there were any error messeges always helps

Ok it happens at different times but heres mostly what it is. Heres in ordor from when it first crashed on me to just now, what happened, and how long:


1. Transformed into SSJ Vegeta *kicked out of game *15 min

2. galit gun *game locked up, had to restart computer *3min

3. Melee Vegeat vs Buu *kicked out of game *1min

4. Powered up *game locked up had to do CTRL-ALT-Delete *2min

5. Picked Create Game * computer Restarted *0 min

There were NEVER any error messages, i was playing on LAN

DANG, u got alot of problems dude!! i think u should reinstall halflife or check ur system or maybe check ur patches.

Do you meam HL or ESF, cause re-installing HL would mean having to put vack all my mods and stuff right? Arghh, i don't even know where my HL CD is, any other way at all before i have to uninstal??????

Try to Uninstall Esf Alpha maybe then it will work.
I had the same problems like you. Alway when i shoot the genki dama or ppower up it crashes the game.I have change video mode to d3d and it doesnt work.
But i dont know why, now i runs perfectlly and after that it doesnt crash my game. I have one time tipp in the console cl_fxquality 0
and after that it works but when i change to cl_fxquality 3 it runs perfectlly too.So i dont know what happens that it runs so good.

Ok, what is there left to try? I've done all these things to get the beta to work

1. Re-installed
2. Deleted Alpha
3. Fx_quality 0, 1 ,2 ,3 (i tried them all)

It crahses on DM, Team, and CTDB

I still can't play the beta for more then 5 min. These things made it crash TODAY!

1. Being shot by Kamahamaha
2. Powering up
3. Standing Still :\ ............

Please i'm going insane, any way to get this working, my computer is a pentium 4 with a good graphics card, so i'm not sure why it would have these problems. Any more tips, thanks.

Set the quality settings in the same menu where u chage ur name

Theres two quality options ones a check box, and the others a choice box in advanced options. Which one do i switch?

1. Do i check the box or leave it un checked?

2. Do i choose low quality, medium, or leave it on high?

I noticed that it chrashed the game at some maps. On the map island it chrash the game but when i play at cell day or night it dont! So try diffrent maps!

May i ask how powerful ur comp is as in its specs that mite help

yes, specs are always good.

And what drivers are you using?
