activating the consol?

im sorry if im a moron but everyone i ask in game tells me to push the ~/` button but that doesnt do anything then someone told me i have to activate it first befor i use it? How do i do that?

[1] Open CONFIG.cfg (Located In Your ESF Folder) Using NotePad

[2] Find console "0" & Change The 0 To A 1 & Save

[3] Right Click Your ESF Shortcut, Click Properties.

[4] In The TARGET: Line, Add -console (Example <Your Directory Path May Differ> : C:\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game ESF -noipx -nojoy -numericpings)

[5] Go Into ESF, Click CONFIGURATION>Controls & Make Sure You Have ` & ~ Bound To Toggle The Console.

[6] Join/Create A Server, Press ~ & Ta Da!! You've Got Console!

hmm . how do you play the game?

ok .. u must have half-life .. right?

ok .. copy the HL shortcut. and rename it to ESF

right click then properties

click "shortcut" tab

in the target line .. after hl.exe add this:

-console -game esf

so it should look like this:

C:\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe -game esf -console

click change icon and browse to the esf folder and choose the icon there ..

that's all
