console problems please help

i have launched 'hl.exe - console' then
when i'm in half life the console works
but when i start ESF it doesn't work anymore

maybe i don't type the right key
what's it?:

i want to play with bots but i can call the console

there should b no space between the - console basicly it should b : C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game esf
i forgot u said esf did not work so...

it's just that the console only work in half life and not in ESF

add the -console to teh esf shortcut and run esf from there.
