ummm well iunno what this is quite supposed to be about but i thought goku was already capable of going ssj2 a while before majin vegeta but he didn't actually show it until babadi's monster was sucking up all his light energy or whatever then he went ssj2 for a second thus giving out to much energy and making the monster explode?

Nah I think he just increased his SSJ1 power by a lot to make the monster explode. No electricity or anything around him, no change of hair.
