u need half-life. with a valid (unique, aka your own) CD-KEY

newest hl update is needed ... get it at www.planethalflife.com
and maybe bots to play offline.

Start up half life or any other mod, there should be a menu that says custom game or mod viewer, click it find esf beta and activate it and there ya go
