They really have to do something about this, when the enemie is about two feet away and he won`t block, its splash!!!................. both dead.

The enemie should be vaporized(hope i spelled this one good).

I know this has been said a thousand times but I`ll say it again please change it.

Edit: Woops I`m not sure where to put it in the general disscusion or suggestion.

i know what you mean, but this isnt the first time this has been suggested...
in those situations tho, its best to not fire the beam and just teleport away instead. :]

Stay the same. If u fire a powerful beam close range what do u expect? especially final flash :) also i think this should be in the suggestions section.

I've always thought that if a beam is strong enough to kill somone it should instagib them and keep on going.. beams don't usually stop if they are stronger than the victim in the show

from my point of view, i think it would be much better if the beams vapourized enemies instead of blew up on them...
like in dbz, people like cell were killed from being vapourized... cell was vapourized several times by kamehameha... none of the kamehamehas blew up on him! :p

bots are annoying, you charge up a final flash... you are just about to fire it when this dumb bot flys right infront and just stands there and does something stupid like charging up a spirit bomb! bah! :rolleyes:

i think i get wut u mean, u mean like go straight into someone weaker and not blocking, then go straight THROIUGH THEM? kind of like absorbing them into ur beam and being rip to little molecules? i like it

watch an episode of the cell saga where either goku or gohan vapourize cell... the beam covers cell and goes right through him until he has been fully vapourized then the beam just fades away.

the beam wouldn't have to vapourize the enemy every time, the beam could just cover the enemy and then fade away but the enemy could still be alive (happens often in dbz).

i guess what would probably be the easiest way to put this into esf would be that beams goes through players (sometimes vapourizing them if the beam is strong or they are low on health) but the beam blows up when it hits terrain such as ground and walls, like it does now. :smile:

i think it would be pretty cool if this gets put into esf someday but im sure the team have already thought about it many times...

but goku blows half of his body off at his fight witth cell same thing!!But it could be a good idea that you can put vaporizing on or off with the server. like playing bots you vaporize (or you can set it like that) and when making a server it doesnt to make sure people dont beam spam!!!

Zilea what I mean is that if a strong beam hits a target (about the same pl as yours or lower) that the beam don`t explode when hitting a target but going right througth the target and vaporizing it.

And Mog thats what I mean thats the way beams has to be.

Cause have you ever saw a BEAM that was not blocked explode in the face in dbz.

and if you STILL dont understand, go and buy a dictionary, it'l help you alot.
Anyway, i think its a nice idea, but what happens if you fire a generic beam in their face? Something will have to be sorted for the people that are stronger than the beam, and what happens when your in a powerstruggle, and the other beam comes over to you? does it vaporize you or explode?

Too many questions about implementation and usefulness = bad idea.

Remember also that this game was not built to be played with bots and as such I don't think a massive change to the engine and gameplay physics should be considered "necessary" when you got an add-on for the mod that is obviously not created or endorsed by the team.

What happens online when someone isn't a dumbass bot and is smart enough to MOVE?

Get a better connection if you can, or play games that don't have many players if you don't; this game, I imagine, must be 1/10th as fun with bots as it is with real people.

Bots in this kind of game will always act stupid. It shouldn't be taken into account to change the game for thier stupidity.

Here's a thought: ask the creator of the bots to make them smarter, instead of ask for the whole game to be changed.

Saiyan Pride its a good idea its only needs to be tweaked.

Generic beam will go through a character(if powerlevel are same) but he doesn`t get vaporized he only recieve damage.

Generic beam will go through a character(if powerlevel is lower then the attacker) and he`ll get more damage and when low on heatlh vaporized.

Generic beam will not go through a character(if powerlevel is much higher then the attacker) and he`ll recieve almost no damage.

This was what I had in mind.

And also with stronger beams a player will get more damage and will be vaporized more quickly.

Its a nice thought, but i dont see it working all that well in-game. It would take along time to put in, and you wouldnt get that much of a difference, so...

If your in that situation, just fire away, blow yourself to bits, you will be alive in a few seconds again anyway :D

those are good ideas devion... i hope someday, the beams get made something like that... it could also work in ps's aswell which would stop beams from killing loads of other players too. :smile:

games are made so that each person may have fun playing it... playing against bots is the only way i can play multiplayer games... and also the bots are endorsed by the esf team because there are two esf team members (one now) making it.

cant get broadband down my road... isdn = lines to bad quality; adsl = out of 5.5km range; cable = not allowed to dig road up cos its a private road ;/ ; satelite...well im not dumb enough to buy satelite when i want online games.

yes i realise playing online against real players is more fun than playing against bots, i dont know why anyone would choose to play against bots if they had a decent connection.

bots will be greatly improved in esf b1.1... but vapourization would still be cool.

sorry for finding faults with every line you wrote but it all seemed wrong! :p

If it were changed to vaporization though it would be abused and we'd see a lot of goku spam. Charge up a big KWave, teleport in and blow them up at point blank, charge up, repeat. Ppl with big attacks would be just blasting things at point blank without orrying about getting hurt. Regardless of accuracy, I think if you wanna let off a huge attack at close range you desrve to take a bit of punishment too.
