Um...little wierd

Does the 1.1 patch change any variable that might affect all of Half-Life? Today I noticed some fps droppage playing ESF, and figured it was the server, like a lot of ppl have been saying. But then I booted up Counter-Life (a single-player Half-Life mod, same HL levels but with CS weaps), and even the tram ride was laggy! How can I have subpar fps on a single player game on my own machine!?!?? My comp is above 2 GHz, GeForce 4, blah blah blah, all great hardware. What's going on? This has never happened before.

ESF wouldn't do that.

Try restarting or ctrl alt del and clear any unused programs that have loaded up.

And if you are running WinXP, use ctrl+shift+esc and end any processes that aren't needed(be careful with this)

I've noticed that sometimes when I quit HL, and then go to play later, it either won't load or become extremely sticky because its process is still running(hl.exe)
