DAMN, help me please

hi there all, i'm new to this forum. But i got a question,
after i've installed beta 1.1 and try to run it i get the error: couldn't find steam.dll, well i re-installed and re-installed and re-installed, but it didn't work. can you guys gimme the directory where it has to be TY!!:cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

make sure you have the newest verions of halflife...

Or the setup may also be corrupted. In that case try to dl it from somewhere else, i'm sure more people allready have it hosted.

need to have half-life? ffs, that CD is broke, i got CS retail now. but it's automaticly installed into the steam dirreectory, howe is that possible?
