whenever i buy a new comp its allways so buggy and crashy untill i just give it a format. format it with win xp pro and it should be better if its a new comp.
u should give us more info
what os u running
what drivers u have
what type of error u get
what brand is ur vid card

i had the exact problem when i was running in software mode, check again that you are in open gl, and maybe drop your res a little, not too sure it the res bit will help but the open GL is a must!

Res could be the problem , i just couldn't have more than 1024X768 or its laggin me off.If opengl dont work, try direct3d, less good, but a lot better than software ...
